The Enkoder App

Posting your email address on a website is a sure-fire way to get an inbox full of Spam. The Enkoder for Mac OS X helps protect email addresses by converting them into encrypted JavaScript code so only real people using real browsers will see them.

Download the Enkoder for Mac OS X

The Enkoder will work on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) as well as 10.4 (Tiger). If you're running an older version of Mac OS X, please use the web form instead.

Notes

Although the Enkoder should help to reduce Spam, no solution is perfect. The only way to truly prevent Spam is to never publish your address at all, ever, anywhere.

The icon for the Enkoder was created by Mark Bixby. He’s amazing.

Major thanks and metta go out to Craig Hockenberry, Travis Cripps, David Nanian, and of course to the Guru for all of their help with this little app.
