It may seem hard to believe, but by paying attention to your breath as a part of daily mindfulness meditation practice, you can begin to develop an incredibly deep, rich level of understanding and insight into your own mind. This has the potential to be incredibly beneficial, allowing you to more deeply connect with the jumble of processes that make up the concept of your identity. Over time, you will become more mindful, more effective, and less caught by emotions.
