You average 6 hours of sleep per night. If you sleep for 6 ½ hours, you feel grateful, exuberant. This only happens several times a year.

Last night you slept for over 8 hours. Unheard of.

It was dark when you went to sleep, and light when you woke-up. As you opened your eyes, your primary cat was right there, standing on your chest, staring, staring. I’m ready to eat any second now, he said. Have been for hours.

Personal Note: You attribute this unexpected sleep phenomenon to the heavy rains that kept this small city quiet all night, and to the consumption of several pounds of high-grade sushi for dinner — a deviation from a recent training regimine of exaustive exercise, low calorie/high-protein food consumption, and constant, obsessive typing.
