Discovering simplicity by removing detail
In this series of images, Picasso discovers the minimum number of strokes and lines needed to represent an image, in this case the form of a bull, shown here as a progression of more and more minimal images. “Each plate is a successive stage in an investigation to find the absolute ‘spirit’ of the beast.”
